Our farm, with roots dating back to 1927, is nestled in a charming village just 3 km from the city of Roskilde. We moved here in 1981, breathing new life into the buildings with renovations over the years. The flat you’ll be staying in was once a horse stable, and in 2023/24, it was carefully renovated with eco-friendly insulation, preserving the farm's rich history while embracing modern sustainability.
Set in a picturesque rural area, our farm is surrounded by neighbors who also raise livestock and horses, offering an authentic country experience. Most of the farm’s buildings are now home to a landscaping company, but the heart of the property remains steeped in history and tradition.

Go Fishing
Enjoy some time at the lake. Fishing is a wonderful hobby at Countryflat. Our lake is full of different species of carps, making it a great spot for fishing enthusiasts. Whether you're a beginner or experienced angler, use a worm or a range of boils for the best catch. Just remember, the biggest carp caught there is over 15kg, so be prepared for a challenge! Talk to Poul where to go and where we are allowed to fish. The season for carps is from 1.April - 1.October.
Jump into the refreshing water!
Why not enjoy the pristine beauty of our farm and take a swim in our precious lake? The water is clean and refreshing, perfect for a relaxing dip. You can jump in from the floating pontoon bridge for a fun experience. Just remember to be careful as the lake is quite deep, ensuring that swimming always happens safely. In case you have minors or children that cannot swim, we recommend that you go to the another lake just a few km. away.
This lake "Himmelsøen" is made especially as a beach-like lake for children.
